Project or Work Package – What’s the Difference?
In truth, there is no difference in that they are both units of work with a clearly defined end deliverable. A project is often broken down into a number of sub-projects or work packages and this is our speciality.
Work packages are clearly defined pieces of work with defined outcomes or deliverables, and with definable milestones. We can work with you to scope out the work to be done with agreed deliverables and interim milestones. Specifically, all work package specifications are delivery-based and anonymous in terms of the specific resources used and are not time based and, therefore, tend not to be suitable for BAU requirements. In such BAU circumstances, freelance contractors working within IR35 may be the recommended option.
Our solution places any risk of IR35 infringement firmly with us and offers protection to our clients and contractors through an ongoing insurance policy with which we ensure compliance.
