We are looking for talented and passionate front-end developers to join our clients professional services team to contribute to the design, development & implementation of next generation user interfaces for the pay TV industry on set-top-boxes and consumer devices.

In this role you will have the opportunity to join an experienced team of software engineers working on building an existing complex single page application using the latest digital TV technologies and work on projects that could potentially reach millions of customers’ homes. In this role you will be required to design (visually and technically), develop, and implement bug fixes. You will follow approved life cycle methodologies, create appropriate documentation, and write automated tests.

Candidates will be able to solve difficult issues with minimal support and be comfortable working by themselves or as part of a small team. You will be expected to resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation and be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in software development.

A degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Must Have Skills

• JavaScript – Experience developing and troubleshooting JavaScript, particularly single page applications written in ES5.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for establishing, owning and the continuous improvement of the methodologies, processes, capabilities and resources required to deliver the shared transmission networks, including related detailed-reporting structures, forums and governance control points.
  • Accountable for the production, agreement and execution of detailed Delivery
  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of Suppliers, 3rd parties and retained resources against contracted time, cost and quality obligations. Undertaking benchmarking to track and compare the relative performance of Suppliers, 3rd parties and retained resources.
  • Responsible for undertaking direct intervention to investigate underperformance, instigate recovery initiatives and manage the recovery of delivery performance.
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities to combine and optimise site and transmission delivery activities to reduce impact to customers, accelerate delivery and provide synergy savings. Proactively co-ordinating and de-conflicting site level acquisition, design or deployment activities to minimise and mitigate interference between delivery programmes.
  • The proactive identification and implementation of Delivery optimisation and cost saving initiatives.
  • Responsible for the leadership and performance of a team of very experienced Transmission SME Delivery-Managers.

Requirements:

  • Significant and demonstrable experience of managing large scale RAN and/or transmission infrastructure rollout to agreed time, cost and quality targets.
  • Detailed knowledge of the methodologies, processes and capabilities required to deliver the mobile backhaul and backbone transmission networks using Suppliers, 3rd parties and retained teams.
  • Significant experience of establishing, developing and leading a deployment function and team.
  • Strong understanding of the UK telecoms deployment eco-system, including the factors that constrain, enable and enhance the capability of individual suppliers and the eco-system as a whole.

Our client is looking for an experienced Data Analyst with a solid understanding of Data Modelling, Data Dictionaries and Data Lineage.

Purpose of the role

To support the integration of Asset Finance & Leasing Platforms (Snowflake, Force.Com & Cloud lending) with the Bank’s IRB Platform (Data Warehouse, Modelling and Regulatory / Risk Reporting components); understanding business needs and translating them into technical requirements across the Data Warehouse platform and associated technologies. Support the wider team in tracing data lineage and quality issues or opportunities and be a key technical SME for how the data is ingested, transformed, and maintained across the platform all the way through to visualisation.

Main Responsibilities

  • Analysing and documenting the current state data processes to support the definition of design of the data platform elements for visualisation and data quality.
  • Analysing data from key data sources to identify gaps and issues in data quality.
  • Work with the Data Delivery Team & IRB teams to identify and validate data sources and documenting specifications, attributes and flows to transform and ingest defined data elements.
  • Contribute to the ongoing maintenance of the data dictionary, ensuring all new elements added to the warehouse are correctly defined and documented.
  • Produce accurate and comprehensive impact assessments and documentation for any proposed solution, to enable conversations around the complexity, size, and shape of proposed changes.
