Delivery Project Manager

The role works within the PMO organisation of a global telecommunication's ESN Mobilisation programme. The Mobilisation phase builds the systems and services required for ESN, integrating the systems and services with other ESN suppliers preparing the services for operational management.

The role is a combination of working closely with the Telecom product lead, project delivery teams as well as supporting customer facing activities.

This role will work with the Telecom product lead, project delivery teams and customer to establish and maintain clear scope against all products identified, ensuring the Release Management framework Gate achieve approvals during the product life-cycle through to handover of product management to the Service Management organisation.

The role will be responsible for:

-              Developing and tracking the progress of the product delivery phases including product releases needed to support the overall delivery of the product strategy

-              Ensuring efficient and effective coordination of the core programme work streams to ensure all activities are aligned and ready for product launch

-              Information regarding product delivery phases is carefully controlled to ensure the Technical and Service Delivery key personnel are kept informed about content along with changes

-              Maintaining clear deliverables for the company within the Release Management framework

-              Providing clear reports to the Telecom product lead, project delivery teams and the customer against progress against product deliverables including proactive risk management communication

-              Providing the bridge of information flow between the company's internal teams and the customer for all product related activities

This role will interact collaboratively on a daily basis with the product lead, project delivery teams and Technical Design Authority (TDA), Service Design Authority (SDA) of the Design Authority.

 

The role will report to the ESN Head of PMO.

 

The ESN Product Delivery Project Manager requires;

-              Excellent communication skills both written and verbal – clarity is essential

-              The ability to manage both internal and external customers with competing priorities

-              Commercial awareness to ensure there is a translation of contractual responsibilities into actionable deliverables for the company

-              Good meeting etiquette

-              Deputising for the MSI Product Lead when needed

 

Decisions and accountability for:

•             Product project delivery progress reporting to the MSI leadership / product teams and the customer

•             Creating and managing a L2 product focused project plan

•             Maintaining product related RAID logs

•             Escalation of risks and issues where appropriate

The role will be based in London & Basingstoke.

Role :

• This position will drive Quality/Test Strategy creation, Manual testing, Integration testing, User journey automation, Cross device/browser automation for web applications, etc.

• Coordinate and participate in requirements review/story elaborations and testing activities to deliver high quality products and incremental value with every iteration.

• Review project test and implementation schedules. Document test plans and acceptance criteria using JIRA, Rally or such solution life cycle management tools.

• Develop test scripts and perform automated and manual exploratory testing to ensure software meets business and security requirements and established practices.

All About You

• Expertise of agile and waterfall testing methodologies and tools such as JIRA, RALLY, Rational Team Concert, Quality Center, etc..

• Experience in both Unit and Integration testing needs with exposure to data virtualization tools.

• Experience testing across a variety of platforms: web and mobile user interface, APIs (REST and SOAP), and/or data warehouse reports.

• Expertise in software development to build and use automation frameworks using technologies: Java/.NET, JUnit, Selenium, JBehave, Soap UI/Pro, Spring framework, REST, JSON and XML, Eclipse IDE, etc..

• Demonstrated experience developing high quality test strategies and test execution – specific focus on cross browser and cross device testing.

• Ability to create good acceptance and integration test automation scripts and integrate with Continuous integration (Jenkins/Bamboo) and code coverage tools (Sonar, Clover).

• Exposure to Continuous integration and delivery concepts desirable.

• Exposure to performance engineering requirements desirable to develop Non Functional requirements from the start.
