Job Description

IDPP is currently recruiting for Business Analyst to join a company that provides technology and network services to many of the UK and Ireland’s largest and most mission- critical operational systems. From Public Safety to Defense, Transport to Service Provider – when it matters most, they deliver. Every time you pick up the phone, surf the Internet, travel on a motorway, catch a train, bus or tube, or even dial 999; chances are that our client has enabled the technology to make this happen.

This role is within a subset of the software group. An agile team, which uses scrum principles as its foundation, is primarily tasked to deliver products and create critical applications that support the business.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for software delivery and who thrives in a collaborative working environment. We are looking for a Business Analyst, become a trusted adviser to the business stakeholders and take product ownership responsibilities. They will provide critical analysis ensuring outcomes and deliverables align with the business strategy leasing with stakeholders at all levels. They will be responsible for the quality and coverage of requirements across the workstreams that they are assigned to.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Understand and analyses business requirements from stakeholders at all levels
  • Stakeholder management
  • Facilitating discussion between the business and the development team
  • Creating and updating user stories
  • Participating in user refinement and daily SCRUM ceremonies
  • Sap Analysis
  • Risk Management

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience in the Full Software Development Lifecycle
  • Experience as a Business Analyst / Agile BA within an Agile / Scrum environment
  • Business process mapping/engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to negotiate and manage expectations
  • Strong communication (written and spoken), facilitation presentation skills (particularly for workshops and agile ceremonies)
  • Minimum degree classification of 2.1 in a business/software/engineering (or related) discipline or relevant experience
