Due to expansion are seeking a Netapp Engineer to join their Engineering team at their Camberley, Surrey site.

This is a permanent opportunity which would suit a Netapp Engineer to sit in the Cloud team who has a passion and a background in Cloud Technology and Netapp. Within this position you will act as an internal technical escalation point and use your knowledge and understanding to mentor and coach internal resources. In addition to this you will be responsible for the identification of trends, security threats or technical bulletins with a view to minimise the impact on customers.

We are currently seeking a very experienced Technical Engineer to lead the Cloud & DevOps Team. We need a strong Team Leader who will be dedicated to transforming the way that Cloud services are consumed by our mission critical customers such as: Emergency Services, Defence, Service Providers, and Enterprises. You will be given the authority and autonomy to deliver high quality solutions meeting both the technical and business needs of customers, whilst being able to work in an outcome focused collaborative environment.

Duties:

  • To act as a technical lead within their nominated customer account or Project delivery for both internal and external requirements.

Network Engineer

A fantastic new opportunity has come up for two Network Engineers to help with a Lab re-location project for a fantastic site.

The requirement will be to assist with the IP aspect of a Lab Closure Activity.

Main Activities:

  • Audit & document all lab equipment & connectivity in the current lab
  • Design cabinet, connectivity & power requirements for the new lab
  • Install switch management infrastructure for remote access to the new Lab (OOB, console management)
  • Ensure equipment is powered down in a controlled manner prior to transit / configs saved

A brilliant new opportunity has come up for a Project Manager specifically with infrastructure re-location experience to help support with a re-location project for a fantastic site.

The lab re-location involves IP, Optical, Voice Networks, IT OSS and pre-production test labs. The requirement is to manage these work streams with a central schedule, whilst the deliveries of migrations will be handled by the respective team processes (support will be required to teams where necessary). There will also be work with UK Teams including the Infrastructure Team to assist target site delivery build and Network configuration to install and commission new equipment.

Duties:

  • Analyse audits and determine owners and future strategy for all equipment in labs
  • Review analysis and strategy with UK Infrastructure and determine / design target sites
  • Work with teams to complete all relocation designs
  • Compile all relocation designs and build requirements at target site
  • Build a Central Relocation Schedule which will detail all relocation activity incorporating the timelines based on: Equipment – equipment dependencies and minimise impacts to ongoing projects
  • Complete relocation activity
  • Decommission remaining equipment at initial site.

Network Auditor / Discovery Analyst, Network Inventory, SC Clearance Required.

A technology services provider requires an experienced Network Audit professional for a new programme within the telecoms sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for the discovery phase for a network transformation project, working across various sites to capture data and information relating to their network inventory. Tasks will focus on asset labelling, and recording information in required format to be passed on for further analysis in relation to the project.  

To be considered we are looking for:

  • Experience around auditing or taking inventory of network assets.
  • Good technical knowledge around network technology; knowledge of load racks is of specific interest.
  • Ability to capture, analyse and present data. Good Excel/Access database skills.
  • Excellent customer facing skills.
  • Involvement in the discovery phase for a major programme would be desirable.
  • Willingness to travel to sites across the UK
  • Current SC Clearance

Location: Based in the Berkshire area with travel to sites across the UK. Most sites are in the South, but applicants must be willing to travel when required.

You will be responsible for providing remote technical support for customers, being the intermediate engineering step between 1st Line NOC and the engineering groups.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide timely responses any incidents which could include investigation, troubleshooting, diagnostics or data analysis

Recognise, identify and prioritise incidents in accordance to requirements, policies and operational impact
