Solution Architect for System Performance Measurement (Technical KPIs) needed for a 6 months contract to support a leading global Public Safety and Government communications technology solutions provider. 

The purpose of this role is to define and agree concept for measuring the system performance of technical KPIs in live service. You'll need to translate this agreed concept into a realisable solution design.

 

Key Responsibilities;

- Creating and owning the concept for System Performance Measurements (Technical KPIs) of ESN.

- Work in close collaboration with the PSCS architects and solution providers to ensure all internal stakeholders are aligned to the concept.

- Obtain agreement for the concept 

- Support the creation of a delivery project to realise the concept, estimation, planning, optimal delivery approach (e.g. build or acquire).

- Provide a detailed solution design for the concept

 

The following skills are considered essential:

-          Prior experience of designing, developing, deploying solutions for measuring service levels.

-          Prior experience of 3GPP standards, experience of MCPTT highly desirable.

-          Experience of defining and agreeing complex concepts with challenging stakeholder groups.

-          Prior experience of working with public sector clients at a technical level.

-          5-10 years relevant experience.

-          An Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.

Essentially, we are looking for an experienced IMS/RAN Performance and configuration management, who has delivered VoLTE use cases for network improvement, in order to improve both user and network centric performance.

The successful person will have the following skills and experience:

• Experience with IMS/RAN Performance and Configuration management

• Delivered VoLTE, RAB e2e use cases for network improvement (quality, retainability, accessibility and call setup time)

• Experience in working in project delivery or leading technical role in improving both user and network centric performance

• Experience in either design, test or implementation of improvement on IMS or RAN components for tier I/II telco

• Knowledge of protocols, e2e call flows and network scenarios involving 4G RAN and VoLTE

• Knowledge on operating Performance tools for:

• Trend Analysis

• Performance dashboard

• Massive Data Analysis

• Worked on Drive test projects on Active Logs and Reports, Integration of Probes and data post processing

• Coordinate between the Drive test teams and the network functions on drive cdr’s and perform cdr analysis (MoS, DCR, CST, Failures) and validate the output to classify the problem domain (RAN, Transport, Voice Core, Packet Core)

About the Role

Within the role of Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for both the design, development and implementation of short- and long-term solutions to IT needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems, infrastructure and the management of the IT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience managing complex infrastructure environments, as well as experience of general technical project delivery. You should have fantastic engagement skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
