Software Developer

Role Profile

We are hiring a Front End Software Developer with experience of Angular (v2 or above) to develop our ‘Management of Integration & Control of Assets’ (MICA) train station management software.

Within the client’s Rail business, the software group develops software products for use in stations across the UK. As part their application portfolio, they have developed systems that monitor and control a variety of subsystems. As part of their ongoing development in this area, they are evolving the GUIs to embrace future facing web technologies.

This exciting role would primarily focus on developing a UX that delights the customers with the very latest web technologies, and provides plenty of scope to contribute across the full stack. As a member of a critical team you will be expected to contribute in all areas of the software development lifecycle, verifying bugs, understanding new requirements and architectural analysis. We’ll need you to show strong attention to detail, good communication skills and an ability to understand complex software from a user perspective.

Experience Required

  • Javascript frameworks (AngularJS, Angular 2 , NgRx)
  • Bootstrap (HTML5, CSS3 [SASS])
  • C#
  • .NET Framework, .NET Core and .NET Standard, SignalR
  • SQL (or MySql/SqlLite), Entity Framework and LINQ
  • TDD
  • Minimum degree classification of 2.1 in a software/engineering (or related) discipline or relevant experience.
  • Team orientated
  • Good customer focus and comfortable interfacing directly with customers,
  • An openness to learning new skills and technologies, adheres to best practices and team norms.
