Senior Wi-Fi Network Engineer – Design, Build, Wireless, Wi-Fi

Location: Surrey (must be flexible to travel to customer sites)

Salary: £55,000 – 65,000 (dependent on experience)

We are working with a leading IT and Telecommunications Company to recruit for an experienced Senior Wireless Network Engineer to join their growing team. You will be designing and building Wi-Fi networks for their varied end clients within the following sectors: Emergency Services, Defence and Transport, just to name a few.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer with a strong background in designing Wireless networks to join a growing IT and Telecommunications business.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the designs, installations, delivery and Optimization of Wi-Fi networks
  • Planning and design, as well as configuration and integration support within project delivery and ongoing consultative engagements with clients
  • Provide operational support for complex, wireless network deployments
  • Lead network design, performance engineering or problem resolution projects and be an escalation point both internally and externally
  • Assist in development of business and technical requirements
  • Assist in the development of high-level and low-level design activities
  • Assist in the development of network implementation planning

To be considered you will need to have:

  • Proven experience designing and building Wi-Fi Networks
  • In depth knowledge of Wireless technology
  • CCNP certification; Wireless technologies certification highly desirable  
  • Skilled in leading from the front from a technical perspective  
  • Able to build strong working relationships both internally and externally to the business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
