Job Description

IDPP is representing a global data management company headquartered in Santa Clara, California. We are looking for an experienced Public Relations Manager to join the organisation on a contract basis (12 months) in their offices in Reading. 

 

About the role:

This is a great opportunity for a passionate communications professional to drive and execute the public relations programme across multiple territories in EMEA covering the maternity leave of the existing team member. We are searching for a highly motivated and creative communications expert to join the PR team on an interim basis to focus on the UK, Italy, UAE and South Africa. The ideal candidate will be a PR specialist with knowledge of the technology industry, particularly in the data protection space. This person will have experience of managing PR agencies, as well as excellent written and oral communications abilities. The successful applicant will work closely alongside the international PR director, and the PR manager covering the other EMEA territories to scope and devise the EMEA PR strategy and to implement the programme.

About the team:

 The successful candidate will report to the director of international PR and work alongside another PR specialist who covers the other EMEA countries.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive and execute the PR progamme in the UK, Italy, UAE and South Africa
  • Manage the PR agencies in those countries
  • Provide local support for global PR team initiatives

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in PR/communications
  • BA in Communications/PR/Journalism/English (or equivalent)
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to create compelling content for external audiences
  • Experience of promoting a company in the IT or security space
  • Experience working with senior executives
  • Experience working as part of a communications team
  • Experience collaborating with technologists and engineers
  • Driven to do great work, wear multiple hats, and have fun while doing it
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally to support events and interviews

Business Analyst

Business analyst required to support the development and implementation of projects across the digital strategy areas that deliver the strategic objectives for share care records, including local and national priorities. 

The post holder will need to be highly experienced, enthusiastic, team-focused and highly motivated to provide excellent change management activities with a variety of stakeholders.

The successful post applicant must have the following skills/expertise:

  • A good understanding of change management methodology and experience of implementing service impacting change management projects.

  • The ability to keep abreast of changing requirements and priorities and embed them rapidly into working practices 
  • A comprehensive understanding of information sharing responsibilities with particular reference to the accountability obligations under GDPR and the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) data sharing code of practice.
  • A quick learner with the ability to embrace and learn changing priorities and requirements as the local and national projects evolves 
  • Proficient in MS Office solutions including MS Teams
  • Ability to adapt to, and learn new systems quickly 
  • Desirable – experience working on project managed within Azure DevOps.
