Java Developer- Reading- 12-month FTC contract- Up to £400/day

My client, the market leader in its field, is currently seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a leading billing systems provider based in Reading. Role deliverables:

  1. Work with designers, product owners, business analysts and software testers to develop accurate codes with minimal errors using Java
  2. Provide high quality software code through unit testing, performance and non-regression testing.
  3. Participate in the architectures change and redesign of the core functionality.
  4. Support product definition and test teams during analysis and functional validation phase.
  5. Monitor and fix software defects raised by customers in test teams.
  6. Participate in the software releases to production and support the different implementations of customers.
  7. Maintain reports and relevant details to help improve software development

Skills required:

1.     Java expertise, including familiarity with J2EE and OO design/development

2.     Developers with experience in Oracle SQL

3.     Experience working with Agile methodology

4.     PL/SQL experience (desirable).

5.     2 to 3 years’ application development experience with Cramer products (essential)

Contract Co-ordinator

Our client; a UK Wide Leader in Technology are seeking to recruit a Contract Co-ordinator to join their team in Crawley to support the Contract Support Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to assist the deployment of the engineering resources for the Traffic Signal Maintenance contracts across Southern England and ensure SLA’s are achieved.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist with producing monthly reports and continual monitoring of performance again the reactive and planned elements of the contracts.
  • Liaise with customer on any enquiries or requests for information.
  • Provide costs for any works outside of the "fixed price" element and agree with the customers.
  • Liase with sub-contractors.
  • Provide adminstration support to include ordering, reporting on timesheets, archiving and any other adhoc duties as required
  • Supporting the contract mangement team in their duties
  • General Administration Duties

Role Requirements:

  • Experience of working in an "operational", service or construction environment is desirable but not essential
  • Wide ranging general adminstration knowledge
  • Experience of completing documentation and producing information packs for job packs.
  • Working on computerised business mangement systems - Oracle is desired.
  • Used to liasing with internal employees and external customers / contractors.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorites.
  • Work well as part of team but equally can work on own.
  • Remain calm under pressure or when busy.
