Main Responsibilities:

As a Lead Developer, you will work with the Marketing, Design and Development team to develop the world's best travel planning tool. They have a super exciting release plan which will change the way people plan their trips.

  • Development of best in class data processing tools and internal APIs
  • Integration of external APIs and frameworks for our in-house hotel booking engine, flight booking engine, car hire booking engine, travel planning engine and a whole lot more
  • Optimization and scaling of our data warehouse with a focus on clean structure and speed

What we are looking for:

Deskside Support Engineer

Our Canary Wharf based client requires an Deskside Support Engineer  for an initial 3-month contract to assist customers with face to face, deskside and remote support.

Responsibilities 

  • Provide deskside support and deliver hardware break fix solutions to the Business in a Win7/10 and Mac OS environment, diagnosing and resolving IT hardware and software problems, configuring PC’s, installing, upgrading and replacing core hardware and software, within specified SLA’s
  • To provide local assistance in the delivery of IT solutions and be involved, often as part of a project team, for IT implementations, installations and upgrades. This function may also include client site support for core products.
  • Travel to satellite offices when required to provide deskside support
  • Become involved in the implementation of best practice across Business areas, by providing informal training and advice on the effective use of the firm’s hardware and software.
  • Assist IT colleagues within Local Support by sharing information, knowledge transfer and experience sharing
  • Complete Local Support admin duties

Key Skills & Experience 

  • Good all-round knowledge of IT and its use within a business environment for a minimum of 1 year.
  • Key knowledge required – Win7/10, MS Office 2013, O365, iOS, laptop hardware fault diagnosis and repair
  • Desirable experience – Mac OS, SQL, ServiceNow
  • Will have worked within a Customer Services environment with strong customer service skills and been involved in relationship management.
  • Must have a flexible approach to working hours

The successful candidate will have excellent IT Administration experience alongside fantastic customer service skills, being responsible for the following day to day tasks:

Leavers:

  • Process leaver PCs (stage 2 - no interaction with users at the VisIT Bar)
  • Facilitate equipment collections;
  • Process mobile phones;
  • Deal with leavers queries (ie escalations from HR and IDE).

Consumables:

  • Deal with consumable queries
  • conduct consumable counts
  • order consumables
  • re-stock consumable items

Stock Checks:

  • Conduct regular loan laptop stock checks
  • Conduct regular hardware parts stock checks

Quality checks:

  • Conduct regular checks of the equipment in the build room (ie loan laptop shelves, work in progress shelf)
  • Check and clear datalockers
  • Perform EOF build room checks

Meetings:

  • Organise and run huddle meetings
  • Be responsible for the Values day IT presentations.
  • Admin side of projects
  • Communicate with end users;
  • Chase users;
  • Collect information;
  • Write reports.

VisIT Bar management:

  • Be the "face of the VisIT Bar"
  • Manage all walk-in users (meet and greet, provide with a guidance)

Floorwalker - Windows 10 migration

Floorwalker – Windows 10 migration. West London.

An experienced Floorwalker / Desktop Engineer is required by an IT Services company, for a short-term customer project around Windows 10 deployment. Tasks will focus around floorwalking and user support throughout the migration, as well as some standard desktop support work required by the end client.

To be considered we are looking for:

  • Experience upgrading Windows 7 to Windows 10
  • Experience in post-deployment floorwalking
  • General all-round desktop support skills
