Job Description

Desktop Engineer, IT Support, End User Support, IT Analyst, ICT Support, Desktop Support, Windows, Windows 10, Win10, SCCM, Office365, ITIL, ITSM 

Contract: 6 months inside IR35

A large Managed IT Service Provider has an urgent requirement for an enthusiastic, customer service focussed Desktop Engineer to join their busy team based on their end clients site in Hereford. This is an excellent opportunity for a Desktop Support Professional with excellent communication skills who loves to be kept busy to work and is able to work with little to no supervisor.   

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and configuring desktops/laptops
  • Providing both deskside and remote support to end-users
  • Timely resolution of IT related problems in such a manner as to meet customer satisfaction, performance and security SLA’s
  • Diagnosing and resolving complex hardware/software problems and configuring PCs
  • Installing, upgrading, repairing and deploying core hardware and software including desktops, laptops, zero clients and peripherals  

To be considered you will need:

  • Prior experience building and configuring desktops/laptops
  • Proven experience providing hardware/software support
  • Good all-round IT Knowledge (especially Windows 10, Office 365 & Microsoft SCCM)
  • Good ITIL knowledge and able to work within SLAs
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • To be self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Certification in ITSM, ITIL, A , MCSA or MCSE is desirable
