Cloud (VMware) Engineer

Location: Camberley

Pay: £45’000 - £55’000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

A fantastic permanent opportunity has arisen to work within a leading provider of Technology services in the Camberley area. The successful individual will be a hardworking, dynamic, and dedicated Senior Focal Engineer, Cloud VMware Specialist, highly skilled in delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Duties:

  • Act as a technical lead within their nominated customer account for both internal and external requirements.
  • Act as an internal technician escalation point
  • Mentor/coach internal resources
  • Train internal engineering staff and customers’ incidents and report where necessary on nominated accounts
  • Add value by highlighting trends, security threats or technical bulletins, which may impacts customers
  • Be responsible and accountable for all documentation and technical information relating to customer networks
  • Adhere to internal and external processes with regard to task allocation, completion, reporting and change. This includes updating all parties and associated documentation
  • Assist with proof of Concept scenarios, Type Approval activities and pre/post-change lab testing in both customer facing and lab spaces
  • To help in creation of TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW documentation
  • Perform comprehensive peer review of engineering technical documentation
  • Assist and/or lead in the pre-staging of equipment installed on customer sites as part of projects or installs
  • Attend, as required, customer facing meetings; support reviews, project roadmap, monthly service reviews and weekly incident reviews
  • Take the lead in value-add projects and innovations
  • Produce and Peer Review Low Level Designs
  • Be involved in the creation and peer review of HLD
  • To lead TA and POC activities

Essential Requirements

  • VCP – vmwARE Certified Professional 6 – Data Centre Virtualization
  • VCP – VMWare Certified Professional 6.1 – Network Virtualization

Contract Co-ordinator

Our client; a UK Wide Leader in Technology are seeking to recruit a Contract Co-ordinator to join their team in Crawley to support the Contract Support Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to assist the deployment of the engineering resources for the Traffic Signal Maintenance contracts across Southern England and ensure SLA’s are achieved.

This opportunity will suit a Contract/ Project Coordinator professional who would like to develop their career within this!

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist with producing monthly reports and continual monitoring of performance again the reactive and planned elements of the contracts.
  • Liaise with customer on any enquiries or requests for information.
  • Provide costs for any works outside of the "fixed price" element and agree with the customers.
  • Liase with sub-contractors.
  • Provide adminstration support to include ordering, reporting on timesheets, archiving and any other adhoc duties as required
  • Supporting the contract mangement team in their duties
  • General Administration Duties

Role Requirements:

  • Experience of working in an "operational", service or construction environment is desirable but not essential
  • Wide ranging general adminstration knowledge
  • Experience of completing documentation and producing information packs for job packs.
  • Working on computerised business mangement systems - Oracle is desired.
  • Used to liasing with internal employees and external customers / contractors.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorites.
  • Work well as part of team but equally can work on own.
  • Remain calm under pressure or when busy.
