Location: Birmingham (remote working initially)
Duration: 3 months
Out of Hours and occasional Weekend Work (must be fully flexible to business requirements)
Inside IR35 – candidates must be willing to use an Umbrella Company
We have an urgent requirement for an experienced Cisco Network Engineer to work for a large Managed IT Service Provider, on a project for their esteemed end client based in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be supporting a Global Security Project and as such will need to be fully flexible to work out of hours to suit the business needs. Excellent communication skills are required for this role as the successful candidate will need to liaise with stakeholders based in the UK, US, Europe and Asia. As Network Engineer you will act as the escalation point for any Network IT issues and provide technical expertise for all 3rd line network and communications related issues.
To be considered you will need to have:
- Proven experience in a Network Engineer role (preferably within a Legal Organisation)
- Proven support experience with Cisco products such as routers, switches and firewalls
- Strong networking engineering background
- Firewall knowledge and experience desirable
- CCNA, CCNP or CCIE certified
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A can do attitude and fully flexible to work a variety of out of hour shifts including weekend work
