My client is offering an exciting Network engineer opportunity- immediate start- joining a Platform Engineering group part of the wider 450-people strong Digital Delivery Group. You will be working on exciting UK public sector customer projects which will enable you to learn new skills, exercise existing ones, strengthen new and old skills and gain creditable experience boosting your network engineering portfolio.

You will work closely with project teams on a variety of projects, some of them concurrent, taking a lead role in the network discovery, design and implementation, from receipt of initial customer proposals through to design and conclusion with successful implementation of the agreed network change.

Your duties:

•           Solve problems for large, corporate clients in multiple sectors, working in cross-discipline, agile and distributed teams

•           Work as a member of a wider team embracing our company values, policies and guidelines

•           Provide network integration consultancy to other teams within the company

•           Undertake network designs and/or provide network design consultancy

•           Validate network project requirements to ensure they are fit for purpose

•           Acting as an escalation point for network technical risks and issues

•           Deliver under significant pressure and to meet challenging deadlines

What you’ll bring:

•           Good working knowledge of all Cisco hardware; switches, routers and load-balancers, CCNP,CCDP

•           Good working knowledge of firewalls, particularly Nokia VSX, Checkpoint, Sidewinder F5 BigIPs

•           You will be highly motivated, self-starter and able to manage your agreed project work with little day to day detailed direction

•           Use of MS Visio for creation of design documents

•           Excellent interpersonal and team communication skills, you will be able to work to highly professional standards in client facing environments

•           SC clearance or willing to undertake SC clearance

•           Keen to stay up to date, learn, expand knowledge into SDN and infrastructure automation activities

Overview

  • The CIS Testing Team tests our client's products and services with financial institutions enabling production electronic payments globally.
  • CIS ensures financial institutions are systemically synchronized with our client's financial messaging.
  • The role ensures accurate and precise vetting of customer network interface and systems to process financial payments.
  • Provides the ability for customers to test new Release code.
  • Accommodates testing whenever financial institutions make changes on their systems.

Role

  • Act as central point of contact for customers and/ or customer representatives throughout processing implementation project end-to-end execution.
  • Provide testing support to customers for all products and services.
  • Act as processing implementation advisor, to customers’ processing support staff.
  • Provide guidance to execute all necessary processing implementation activities.
  • Handle multiple key customer processing implementation projects in parallel, including key implementations (key customers, key markets, key services / products.
  • Define, create, maintain and document standard and non-standard key customer processing implementation processes.
  • Provide training to CIS organization, other organizations and the customer.

 

All About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Exact Sciences, Business or equivalent work experience.
  • Intermediate experience in Information Technology system knowledge, with strong understanding of network technology, applications, and project management. Strong payment transaction processing and industry business principles knowledge.
  • Ability to interact well with the customer, Senior and Executive management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to leverage these skills in a teaching environment.
  • Ability to drive change in a technical work environment.
  • Ability to multi-task covering multiple projects.
  • Ecommerce payments and processing, authentication, 3DS, and related knowledge is required.
  • Mobile payment background processing/hands-on on any APIs that is used for authentication or authorization, API developer background is a big plus.
  • Fluent in English is a must.
  • Multilingual is a plus (Russian).
