Information Security and IT Audit Analyst

Our client is building a market-defining, global risk distribution group. They provide global wholesale specialty insurance and reinsurance broking services and underwriting solutions through its specialist brands.
We are looking for an Information Security Analyst with some exposure to IT Audit to join the InfoSec Team. This role will be suitable for someone who has just started their career in Information Security and wants to learn. Our client will be investing in trainings and courses to get the relevant industry qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead audit and recertification delivery requirements.
- Carry out report and information gathering for audits.
- Participate in Information Security project delivery.
- Contribute to policy design, development, and delivery.
- Lead the Information Security risk management programme under the guidance of the Group Head of InfoSec.
- Monitor networks and systems for security breaches, using software that detects intrusions and anomalous system behavior.
- Contribute to all day-to-day tasks in the delivery of the InfoSec service.
Day to Day
- Delivery of audit requirements for SOX and other regulations.
- Data gathering and analysis using skills such as SQL query.
- Performing IT security risk assessments and reporting on ways to minimize threats.
- Monitoring security vulnerabilities and hacking threats in network and host systems.
- Communicating with the Group Head of Information Security about IT security threats
- Investigating security breaches, including forensics.
- Oversee and respond to incidents raised in alerting systems, assist the Security Operations Center.
- Working with the infrastructure team to ensure mitigations are implemented in a timely and effective manner.
Key Skills
- SQL Query skills with understanding of data output.
- Knowledge of the CIS20 controls.
- Analytical mind capable of managing numerous information sources.
- Excellent communication skills
- Can make decisions that are well informed and timely.
- Multi-tasking – can manage several concurrent projects and prioritise demands.
