Well, our client who are a globally finical company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for a 12 month contract. As Senior Software Engineer you would be responsible for leading day to day system development and maintenance activities of the team to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and create solutions with high level of innovation, cost effectiveness, high quality and faster time to market.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the analysis, design, development and delivery of software solutions. Define requirements for new applications and customization.
  • Accountable for full systems development life cycle including creating high quality requirements documents, use-cases, design and other technical artifacts including but not limited to detailed test strategy/test design, performance benchmarking, release rollout and deployment plans, contingency/back-out plans, feasibility study, cost and time analysis and detailed estimates.
  • Conduct brownbag sessions on new and upcoming technologies, methodologies and application appropriate frameworks. Ensure knowledge transfer of vendor technology to staff. Provide technical training to the other team members.

Experience and Skill requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Broad understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies.
  • Must provide the necessary skills to have a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results.
  • Possesses strong communication skills -- both verbal and written – and strong relationship, collaborative skills and organizational skills.

Java Developer

We’re seeking an experienced Java Developer for a high profile, mission critical project with our client who are a leading IT solutions company. The duration of the contract is 6 months however, maybe extended and the role is based in West London.

This is a very exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment and to work on a project which will be used in many airlines across the world.

The main tasks as Java Developer would be:-

  • To design, implementation and delivery of DIH key components.
  • Work closely with different teams within the project to create and develop high quality code for internal/external customers that works.

Key requirements: -

  • Java, Kafka and MongoDB experience.
    • Have a solid grasp of scalability, stability and security challenges of a customer-centric, cloud-based application.

An experienced Solution Architect is required by leading Technology Solutions provider on a large public sector transformation programme. The successful candidate will own, update and maintain the BCDR approach for the programme, working closely with managed services teams to identify and influence technical and service designs to minimise business continuity risk.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leader in the field of Telecommunications Engineering , and to work on a high profile Government programme.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ownership of BCDR approach for product releases.
  • Applying structured methods for business continuity risk assessment (i.e. ISO22301)
  • Developing backup strategies for the programme.
  • Working with specialist and test teams around verification of continuity plans and mitigating continuity risk.

To be considered we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in a similar role: Ability to apply structured methods for business continuity risk assessment (i.e. ISO22301). Background applying these techniques in high complexity infrastructure domains.
