Our Glasgow based client requires a Fibre Planner for an initial 6 month contract to assist them with the planning, design and delivery of fibre and copper pilot cables.
The purpose of this role is to provide those planning and design services as well as support a Project Management Office during the delivery phase of these activities.
Please note to the nature of this project and time constraints candidates will need to hold valid and current Security Clearance.

Our industry leading client requires an IT Support Engineer for an initial 3 month contract to be based on their end client site in Guildford.

We have have a fantastic opportunity for the role as System Commissioning Engineer to work with our client Motorola on an exciting high profile project.
The government is working on a programme to deliver the new Emergency Services Network (ESN) critical communications system. This will replace the current Airwave service used by the emergency services in Great Britain.
The scope of the role as Systems Commissioning Engineer will include review and implementation of Low Level Designs, providing support to Application and Integration Teams and producing/updating ‘As-Built’ and Configuration documentation and producing Work Instructions across the systems for our Transition Teams.
The role is a 6 month initial contract and will primarily be based in the Rugby area.
We are looking for someone with:-
- Strong knowledge in EMC Avamar back-up solutions
- Experience commissioning of large complex voice and data systems.
- Experience with at least two of the following; Oracle, SQL, Linux, Windows, EMC Storage and back up technologies.
- Experience in Technical Support team with proven experience with security technologies; IP Network technologies.
Key responsibilities of the Systems Commissioning Engineer will vary during the lifecycle of the Project;
- EMC Avamar back up solution - influence/ define and configure to meet ESN requirements
- Implementation of various infrastructure and platform solutions
- Define and implement regular system health checks across all ESN systems
- Creating/Updating ‘As-Built’ documentation for the implemented solutions
- Creating Work Instructions and system Handover documents
- Updating the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
Rate: £41’000 per annum (goes up to 45K)
