Challenge

NHS Wales is the publicly funded National Health Service of Wales, providing healthcare to approximately 3 million people living in the country. It is comprised of seven Local Health Boards, three NHS Trusts, and two Special Health Authorities.
NHS Wales was looking for a supplier to consolidate sensitive, highly confidential information stored in various formats from multiple sources. The project was extremely time-sensitive and needed to fit within the timelines of multiple, simultaneously running projects. Therefore, it was imperative that the project was completed within a strict timeframe.

Solution

We provided a team of contract resources consisting of a Project Manager, Technical Delivery Manager, and multiple Data Scientists to complete the requirements on a fixed-price contract work package basis. The entire project was divided into three milestones, each with specific deliverables and spread over a 12-week timeframe with challenging but realistic goals. The project was overseen daily by our Project Manager, who joined our Internal Account Managers on weekly progress update calls with the stakeholders to review and, if required, make adjustments to ensure the project was completed on time. The project was completed within the required timescale, both overall and for the individual milestones, and was signed off as completed by the client.

Benefits

idpp demonstrated its capability to provide resources of the highest caliber, with knowledge and experience in working on similar projects involving highly sensitive, confidential data, and the ability to work to extremely strict timescales. The project was particularly challenging due to the restricted availability of the client’s internal stakeholders, as well as the vast array of data sources that needed to be amalgamated.
