What you'll bring:

You'll bring a broad range of experience in modern open source stacks, so don't worry if you haven't got strong experience in every skill listed below. If you can demonstrate a good selection of these skills, and a passion for developing exciting new technical skills, then we'd really like to talk to you.

  • Experience of commodity cloud providers such as AWS or Azure in a production system.
  • Continuous Integration systems such as Hudson/Jenkins/Concourse/Drone/Bamboo.
  • Configuration Management tooling (Ansible/Puppet/Chef/Salt)
  • Good understanding of the Hashicorp Suite (Packer, Terraform, Vault, Vagrant, Consul)
  • Containerisation - Docker, Kubernetes, Swarm
  • Testing, setup and configuration of monitoring/alerting tooling (OpsView, Nagios, ELK, Graphite, Grafana, Zabbix, etc )
  • Experience using languages such as Ruby, Python, Go and Java within an existing, production codebase.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary Agile teams.
  • Networking knowledge including switching, routing, VPN's, Load balancing (Software/hardware), CDN
  • Security knowledge including Firewalls (Software/hardware), IPS/IDS, Antivirus, SIEM, IDaM, DDOS
  • Experience debugging a complex, multi-server service in a high availability production environment.
  • Strong communication skills; with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely

Working within an exciting wider programme of BI deliverables, this role is for an ODI developer to work on developing ETL mappings from source systems through to landing and from landing to a conformed data model.

Essential skills & expertise:

  • Degree qualified in a numerate discipline/equivalent
  • Strong demonstrable experience in using ODI
  • Experience/Understanding of databases/SQL
  • Understand dimensional modelling & data warehousing and be able to demonstrate projects where you have worked to create ETL mappings into a dimensional model
  • Ability to work within a team

The candidate must be able to complete a security check & vetting process as this is working within an airport.

Service Desk Analyst, Helpdesk Analyst, 1st Line Support, Windows 7/10, Active Directory.

Leading IT Managed Services business is looking for a Service Desk Analyst for a customer site in Manchester. The role sits within a busy team, supporting the customer in line with SLAs in an ITIL environment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • 1st line Desktop Support
  • Dealing with service calls, emails and web tickets in an appropriate manner; logging & directing to the correct team in accordance with SLAs. Recording all interaction, and ensuring they are dealt with as effectively as possible
  • Take ownership of all incidents and service requests ensuring they are logged, prioritised, categorised as appropriate leading to effective diagnosis. 

To be considered candidates must have strong technical skills around Windows 7/10, Active Directory, Office 365. Communication skills, ability to work under pressure and knowledge of ITIL principles is also important.

Candidates must be available to start next week commencing 24th September.
